Vasa Bairns Origins

When Brian was working a full time job and we had four kids five years old and under, we started having a "Sabbath Supper" to start off our weekend. This weekly intention became a lovely and much anticipated family tradition. It meant a lot of things: a tablecloth, fresh flowers, a clean house, classical music, liturgy, special food, special drinks, dessert (the kid's favorite), and always, always, beeswax candles.

It was beautiful and we loved it.

Then, our lives changed in just about every way possible. We moved away from our East Coast seaside village to the prairie of Northeastern Colorado. We left outside full-time employment to craft our own business where we could work together. We sold our beloved home and relocated into a temporary living situtation. But one thing remained the same: we wanted to continue creating beauty and meaning as a family.

We began Vasa Bairns in the spirit of our Sabbath Supper, in hopes of fostering connection, intimacy and beauty, for your family and ours.
